I’ve recently started listening to podcasts as I travel. As a result, the medium of audio for sharing has become very intriguing to me. It’s a format that I’ve never personally explored. I began to wonder, “what’s the simplest way that I could test audio out myself?”
So… on a recent flight, sitting next to an ~50 year old woman from Minnesota, I introduced myself, and asked her a single question, “What life advice do you have for a 34 year old husband and father of two?”
What followed was… interesting. 🙂 I answered a few clarifying questions, but then mostly just shut up and listened. She talked non-stop for the remainder of the flight (~3hrs). She answered my question for sure, but it also felt like a bit of a therapy session for her.
What follows is a 1:45 min recap of the main things she shared (recorded as a summary after I got off the plane):
Overall I got out of it what I wanted (some thoughts that I could then recap, and post here). But interestingly, I think she got something valuable out of it as well.
Perhaps this is something I will do again…
